LEARN

In Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

In 2021, the museum was able to record two videos honoring the life and impact of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This month, we look back with rememberance on the great civil rights leader.

In the first video, Vice Chair of the museum's Board of Trustees, James Muhammad joins us in a visual journey of civil rights and discourse with a an excerpt from Dr. King's "I have a dream" speech. In the second, Dr. Edgar E. Malker examines Dr. King's life and beliefs and invites us to question where we are in the journey and how much further we have to go.
