Zoe Brockman Typewriter

Born in Gastonia in 1893, Zoe Kincaid Brockman was a journalist and author in Gaston County until her death in 1975. Brockman wrote for the Gazette for over 60 years in the women's column and authored two books. She received a number of awards and honors for her writing. After her death, the public paid tribute to Mrs. Brockman when Aug. 4 was proclaimed Zoe Brockman Day and a bronze bust was presented to Gaston County Public Library by Dr. Graham Weathers of Stanley.
