Blues Out Back is Back!! The Gaston County Museum's long-running summer music series is back in action! Grab your lawn chair and join us! Food trucks and drinks will be available, seating is open lawn in the Museum's back gardens and the whole family is invited!
June 1st: Anna Holloway & Trace Casanova
Kicking off our series this summer is hometown favorites, Anna Holloway and Trace Casanova! With Anna's soulful Janis Joplin vibe, and Trace living up to the Casanova name as he channels his inner crooner, they keep the party rolling throughout the night.
July 6th : The Riverside Boys
Hollis Carter Cartee is an energetic, fun, and rowdy (in the best possible way) singer that brings life and smiles to everyone that gets to watch him perform. Hollis Carter Cartee dominates the stage with his amazing vocals, his voice is deep, rich, and soulful. He can powerfully project his voice while belting out classic rock and country hits. His guitar skills will have you memorized that you’ll forget he isn’t playing just for you! On the drums we have Charles “Daniel” Woody, he may look young, but he plays like he’s been alive since the days of blues. Daniel has impeccable timing, great stage presence and can dominate the stage solo without the band around him. His energy and passion for his music radiates across the room and while you might WANT to try and watch his hands, they are moving way too fast for you to track. Hollis, Cody and Daniel are available for a 2 or 3 hour set and are booking from today through 2024! (Additional Band Member bios coming soon)
August 3rd: Dave Killian
Dave is a 20+ year, multi-instrument musician from Gaston County who performs a mix of acoustic rock, alternative rock, blues & adult contemporary. His singing voice has been described as having a rich tonal quality, expressive range, and the ability to convey emotion. Dave captivates listeners with his clarity, control, and harmonious blend of melody and nuance. Listening to Dave perform is stunningly similar to watching Dave Matthews (the option for Dave to perform a DMB tribute show is an option for venues). Dave is available for 2 to 3 hour sets and is accepting booking from July -Dec 2024. Dave is fully insured and able to provide these documents as needed.
September 7th: The Giftt
At the tender age of 17 - when he started ,the GIFTT , since has made quite a name for himself. While attending school in Gastonia NC he has managed to garner a reputation as a very talented guitarist . He's so good that some in the industry are comparing his sound as a reincarnated , BB King, John Mayor & The one and only Prince mashup . Since the release of his debut album titled , "The Good Blues' ' The GIFTT has been very busy gearing up to hit the road in the summer of 2024 , with his new band' ' Soundz . You are definitely in for a treat when you attend his shows . One thing for sure , music is forever evolving and when you hear the sounds of the GIFTT you will quickly see why he is called the new age of Blues .
