Civil
War Letters - an online exhibit
Gaston County Museum of Art & History offers this collection of
Civil War letters as its first online exhibit. A turning point for many
families and local society, the war had deep and lasting effects on the
region. These letters from the Holland family help to understand those
turbulent times. Click on the letter to go to a page with the entire
text and a visual image of the letter (sample at right).
