Research Requests

The collection of the Gaston County museum encompasses a broad range of objects that help interpret Gaston County’s rich history.  Part of the mission of our museum is to provide researchers with access to the information we hold in trust. 

To allow collections staff time to research and organize the information, we ask that you schedule an appointment AT LEAST TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE to the date you would like to do your research. 

Your request can be made via email or phone to the Curator, Stephanie Elliott, at Stephanie.Elliott@co.gaston.nc.us or 704-922-7681 ext. 104. 

Please include the following information:

1. Your name
2. Contact information
3. A very detailed description of what topic(s) you will be researching (including names, dates, locations, ect.)
4. The specific time you would like to visit the museum to conduct your research
